Would you have paid $1000 to see Indy 4 a few months early?Unless you’re a real hardcore Harrison Ford fan, probably not. But that’s the conundrum facing the 10 million players of smash online RPG World of Warcraft, some of whom are forking out hundreds of dollars for early access to the game’s latest expansion.
Wrath of the Lich King, Warcraft’s second expansion, is due to launch later this year, and in the last few weeks it began “beta testing” — becoming accessible to a small group of specially-selected subscribers, to help the developers find bugs and game balance problems. And although this role is often filled with professional, paid game testers, Blizzard isn’t short of volunteers who’ll do it for free or even pay for the privilege.
So high is the demand that logins for the beta test are currently selling for between $400 and $500 on Ebay and, according to Eurogamer, fetching the equivalent of about $1000 in the UK.
Lich King, which contains a new continent for players to explore, a new playable class, and raises the maximum amount of experience characters can earn, is expected to be released before the end of the year. Any new testers will only have a few months of play time before the game’s release, when all their characters will be wiped and the game will become accessible to anyone for a mere $40.
The first set of screens are in for the XBLA remake of the first Soul Calibur game. That’s the Dreamcast one and not Soul Blade of the PSone era.

We reported a few weeks back that Namco had confirmed the title for Xbox Live Arcade, saying, “Leaderboards yes. Online multiplayer no. This might have something to do with the fact that Soul Calibur IV will be out soon after and no one wants to shoot themselves in the foot do they?” Probably not.
Wii gamers have already been waggling their Remotes to Sega’s cartoony Beijin Olympics game starring Sonic and Mario, but here’s the more serious version on PS3 and 360.
Eurocom, the guys most recently behind Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, has development duties for this version, titled Beijing 2008: The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games.
The game will feature 32 national teams, and numerous button-wrecking events including, athletics, gymnastics, shooting, aquatics, weightlifting, table tennis, kayaking, cycling, judo and archery. So everything, basically.
It’ll also feature online play, leaderboards, the option to upload your performances for others to see, and a single-player career mode.
It’s coming to PC too, but these shots are from the 360 and PS3 version (format specified in the caption, should you care specifically).

The three console giants have failed a Greenpeace test after they were found to contain a number of toxic and potentially harmful materials.
The Greenpeace “Playing Dirty” report found substances such as polyvinyl chloride, phthalates, beryllium and bromine on the various bits and bobs within the consoles.
You probably won’t be chowing down on the microchips inside your PS3 any time soon (we’d hope), but Greenpeace called for console manufacturers to “design out” toxic substances.
A greener game console is possible
Dr. Kevin Brigden, Greenpeace Science Unit, said: “Whether game consoles are classified as toys or not, they can still contain hazardous chemicals and materials that could harm humans. The technology is available for the manufacturers to design out toxics and produce greener game consoles now.”
Casey Harrell, Greenpeace International Toxics Campaigner, added: “Our test clearly shows that a greener game console is possible; manufacturers just need to look ‘inside the box’ of the competition to see which of their own dirty components can be replaced with toxic free materials.”
It’s not so much that you’ll be licking the components of your console, but more about the environmental effects when they’re dumped, ending up in recycling yards in developing countries, apparently.

If you are bored playing Counter-Strike, because there is no more fun and always happens the same things or you play it and like a lot, you should try playing another game. WolfTeam is a new game similar as CS but with a new ability that you transform in Wolf. You should download the game on the internet to play it! I recommend this game. If you need help and hints, post a comment!
Here is a more detailed description of the game: “A fact, that there are plenty of people who have partially wolf-like base arrangement in the process of DNA antidoting, is found in 2010 Scientists name this “Diewolf Syndrome”. This syndrome has found in people with excellent physical ability such as athletes or military officers. The average life span of Dewolf carries is 38 and they died of cerebral infection or heart attack without any symptoms. A known reason is that the “bio-clock”(suicide cells) of cells is of something else than human and short in life. A multinational corporation of France “Pfien” develops a new medicine “Epoxyn” for Diewolf syndrome. Diewolf syndrome carriers can have the same bio-clock as it of regular people by this new medicine.”

According to Sandy Duncan, the executive-chief form Yo Yo Games and ex-vice-president from the European Microsoft Entertainment division, affirms that within 10 years game consoles will no longer exist. The motive is that the technology advances will integrate many functions to one single electronic, this means that it will not longer exists one eletronic that does one single function.

Following Duncan developing a new console costs much money and it is also something extremely risky, using the example when microsoft lost tons of money with Xbox. He affirms that the future console creators will be more creative and won’t follow past solutions.
